1. Betting Limits
Poker limits are usually expressed as two numbers. The first number is the low limit bet, and the second number is the high limit bet. In a limit poker game the first two rounds would be the lower betting limit and the higher betting limit would apply in latter rounds of betting. If you said you’re looking for a ‘2-4’ limit game, a casino floorperson would interpret that to mean you’re looking for $2 and $4 betting increments, again in the first two rounds as $2 and latter rounds at $4.| Table Limit | |

2. The Antes
In stud games, there are no blinds. There’s a bring-in and an ante. The antes are set according to the following schedule (below). The ‘bring-in’ refers to a forced bet to start the action that is posted by the player showing the lowest door card (your first two cards are dealt to each player face down, the door card would be the third card and it is dealt face up):
