You will see a lot of information in the WSOP.com game lobby that may look daunting the first time you play online poker, but it doesn’t take long to get the hang of it and use it to get you to the right table.
Click on the tabs to choose:
- Whether you want to play for real money or for fun.
- The game type (Hold'em, Omaha, Stud)
- The format of the game (ring game, sit & go, multi-table, jackpot).
Ring Games
Click on the ring games tab to view the list of available ring games. The list is categorized by:
- Name - A unique moniker used to identify each table.
- Stakes - Displays the limit amounts for each game.
- Limit - For Hold’em and Omaha, this column indicates whether the game is limit, pot limit, or no-limit.
- Players - The number of players currently at a table and the table’s capacity.
- Action - Buttons that allow you to join a table or if full, be added to the waiting list.
- Speed – This column displays the table’s allotted time for a player to act per hand
- Average Pot – Displays the average amount of each pot for that table.
- Hand/Hr – Lists that table’s average number of hands played per hour.
You can sort the list of games according to your preferences by clicking on any column header. Customize how you want the list of tables displayed in the columns by clicking Edit Table View.
You can also filter the list by stake, limit, size and status by using the drop down menus.
To join a game or drill down into the internal information of a specific tournament, click on it in the lobby screen and the game lobby will open to display all information relevant to the tournament in question. Information will include start time, number of players registered, blind structure, tournament break information, etc.
Once signed up for the tournament you will be signaled when the tournament is about to start and the table at which you are going to start the tournament.
You will receive another message telling you which table you will be seated.
