Join Poker Tournaments

You will see a lot of information in the WSOP.com game lobby that may look daunting the first time you play online poker, but it doesn’t take long to get the hang of it and use it to get you to the right table.

Click on the tabs to choose:

  1. Whether you want to play for real money or for fun.
  2. The game type (Hold'em, Omaha, Stud)
  3. The format of the game (ring game, sit & go, multi-table, jackpot).

Tournaments

Double-click on either the Sit & Go tab or the Multi-Table tab to enter the tournament lobby. A list of available tournaments is displayed and is categorized by:

  • ID- Unique number that identifies each tournament
  • Name– A description of the tournament
  • Buy-In– The amount needed to enter a tournament along with any registration fees.
  • Limit- For Hold’em and Omaha, indicates whether a game is limit, pot limit, or no-limit
  • Speed– Displays the tournament’s allotted time for a player to act per hand
  • Status- Indicates a tournament’s current status:
  • Announced- Can be viewed, but registration is closed.
  • Registration Open- Players can register.
  • Seating- Players are being seated.
  • Running- The tournament is in progress.
  • Closed- The tournament has ended.
  • Enrolled- Tells you how many players are registered. Also displays the max capacity of a sit n go.

You can sort the list of tournaments according to your preferences by clicking on any column header. Customize how you want the list of tables displayed in the columns by clicking Edit Table View.  You can also filter the list by stake, limit, size and status by using the drop down menus.

For sit n gos, you can also use the filter to view only fast or double or nothing tournaments.

To join a tournament or drill down into the internal information of a specific tournament, click on it in the lobby screen and the tournament lobby will open to display all information relevant to the tournament in question. Information will include start time, number of players registered, blind structure, tournament break information, etc.

table information

Once signed up for the tournament you will be signaled when the tournament is about to start and the table at which you are going to start the tournament.
